<description>Mr Tim Jackson, a consultant ophthalmic surgeon will be speaking at The Medical Innovations Summit on June 30th about \'The Bionic Eye\'. Mr Jackson will explain the ground-breaking surgery which took place at King&acirc;€™s College Hospital, London, in March 2012, which involved the successful implantation of  an electronic retina into the back of a patient\'s eye.</description>

<description>A selection of pastries, fruit and hot and cold drinks will be available from 8am on both Saturday and Sunday morning so you can arrive early, enjoy some (free) breakfast, read the newspapers and relax, prior to a prompt start at 9.30am in our 300-seater auditorium; There will be a mid-morning break with refreshments, prior to a lunchtime finish at c 1.30pm. You will have the option to purchase lunch in our Buttery or in the local neighbourhood; When travelling to the RSM use Bond Street or Oxford Circus tube stations (both a 5 minute walk); If you decide to drive in, we strongly recommend you use an NCP car park (please do not risk your car being ticketed, clamped or removed); Please bring a pen and paper (or ipad!) in case you want to make notes during the presentations; </description>
