Win a grant of up to £500 to put towards a medical elective or overseas project!
Write a 3,000-word essay on ‘Improving the health of individuals and nations.’ Please include an abstract (150-250 words) and an elective summary (no more than 100 words) outlining your proposed elective/project.
Submission Deadline: Thursday 28 February 2013
Notification Date: Wednesday 20 March 2013
Prize: First prize of £500 (award to be applied towards the designated elective/project) and; the top five essays will receive a free year’s RSM Student membership (or free renewal)
Open To: Students of all disciplines connected to healthcare and with an interest in global health
Selection: A maximum of five essays will be awarded prizes by a panel of global health experts and academics (each essay being read by at least 2 people). The award ceremony will take place at the RSM Global Health Conference dinner on Tuesday 26 March 2013.
The first prize winner will be required to write a 500-word report on their experience following the elective period and submit by 30 June 2014.
