Retired Fellows Society
To add to the quality of life of Retired Fellows of the Royal Society of Medicine by enabling them to develop their current interests, acquire new ones, and enjoy the company of colleagues from all branches of medicine.
An eclectic programme of events comprising Medicine, Science and the Arts are held at the RSM.
The lectures are followed by a sit down lunch with a chance to exchange news and views with friends old and new.
Members may also join The Camera Club - an informal meeting each month for people with an interest in digital photography and image editing.
Visits are made to places of interest such as:
- notable institutions
- great houses
- gardens
- London walks
- theatre matinees to satisfy many tastes.
- escorted trips to places of medical interest.

The RSM Archive of Memoirs
This project was launched a short time ago and is proving popular with many contributions made already by Members. These include the medical care of LCC school children, undergraduate medical schools before and during the second world war and personal experiences of medical practice. The subject matter does not have to be confined to medical history but can also encompass dental, veterinary, scientific and social memoirs.
We are keen that working members as well as those who are retired should contribute to this project. Please refer to our 'Guidelines for authors' [PDF 25k] before sending your submission. Contributions should be sent as Word attachments to vlug @ rsm.ac.uk.
