A joint meeting with Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group

Aims: To provide an update on treatment of children with cancer and leukaemia, especially brain tumours, clinical trials, the patient experience and radiotherapy, for the families of those affected.
At the end of the meeting participants will:
- Have an understanding of the role of the various treatment modalities, surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for brain tumours.
- Have an understanding of the clinical trials and research governance structures involved in assessing novel treatments for children with cancer and leukaemia.
- Have an understanding about ways in which the patient experience of high quality care can be enhanced.
- Have a better understanding of modern radiotherapy, including proton beam treatment.
