Unravelling the paradoxes: Economic recession, sustainable development and health
Friday 6 February 2009
Venue: The Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE
At times of contracting economies, programmes for sustainable development, environmental protection and health equity may face financial challenges. Continuing support for these activities will depend on the overall framework for interpreting current and future economic success within the developed market economies, including their relationship with the global dimensions of the economy and environmental change, and their public health implications. The symposium aims to facilitate reflection on these issues.
