Control of common persistent herpesvirus infection (CMV and EBV), and associated pathology
Monday 24 May 2010
Venue: The Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE
This meeting brings together European experts to discuss the control and treatment of two of the most common herpes virus infections in humans.
The Epstein- Barr virus is nearly ubiquitous in adults, while cytomegalovirus infects at least half the adult population in Western countries. Both
cause significant morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised patients, but there is growing evidence that these viruses may cause more subtle
immunopathology in apparently immunocompetent individuals, particularly in the elderly with CMV. The meeting should be of interest to a wide medical
audience, particularly those specialising in immunology, autoimmunity, virology, haematology and geriatrics.
The early bird fees are valid until Friday 30 April 2010, standard fees will apply after this date.
Please note that the GROUP BOOKING fee (phd students / clinical scientist) is for 5 or more delegates only.
