The new science of osteoarthritis - from bench to bedside

Monday 24 September 2007

Venue: The Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE

Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the major chronic disease problems of the developed world, and the single biggest cause of chronic pain and physical disability in older people. Until recently negative views of OA dominated clinical practice, but recent research has opened up several exciting new ways of thinking about the causes of the condition, its consequences and its treatment.
