Access to 1 Wimpole Street for visitors with impaired mobility

Accessible meeting rooms

All event areas and meeting rooms are accessible.

A wheelchair is available at reception, and an evacuation chair is stored in the main stairwell at first floor level.

All floors of the library are accessible via a lift/ramp.

Parking

There is one public disabled parking space near the main entrance on Wimpole Street. Please contact us so that we can accommodate parking in our the basement car park (dependent on space available).

Guide dogs

Guide dogs and dogs that have specific training are welcome for events and overnight stay at Domus.
Both Domus and the reception desk have water bowls available.

Audio loops

An audio loop is available in the Fellows reception.

Text phones

Unfortunately we are unable to provide text phones for the hard of hearing or deaf.

Accessible PC

The Library has an accessible PC with a range of hardware, software and peripheral devices designed to help users who have a visual impairment, are blind, or have other disabilities, to get more out of visiting the Library.

The accessible PC is located in carrel 1 (designed for wheelchair access) on the Library Mezzanine floor, opposite the Library lift. Users who require the accessible features unique to this equipment have priority over other users.
