Venue: IT Training Room (RSM Library, first floor)

Audience: intermediate/advanced (with internet navigation skills). Prior attendance at the Introduction to Literature Searching course or at an individual database tutorial at the RSM Library is required.

Course Coverage:

• Choosing the most appropriate database(s) offered by the Library to meet your information needs
• Searching the databases using advanced tools such as limit options and proximity operators
• Using Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) and EMTREE for more focused searches
• Searching across more than one database including removing duplicate references
• Handling the results of a search such as sorting, using Clipboard and saving references

Cancellation fee
If a booking is cancelled within two weeks of the course date, a cancellation fee of £30 will apply (£50 for temporary members).
