Dermatology Section
Aims
Dermatology is a thriving section of the Society and its members regularly share knowledge on complex cases by attending clinical case presentations throughout the academic year. In addition, the dermatology section provides educational events for students and trainees and also arranges regular meetings with other sections of the Society.
Requirements
Applicants eligible to join this Section must be the following:
- Medical qualified Fellows of the RSM holding (or previously having held) substantive consultant or specialist trainee appointments in the NHS or University Dermatology Department in the UK and EIRE
- General Practitioners with a Special Interest who hold an honorary or substantive contract with a department of dermatology and are sponsored by a member of the Section from their hospital
- Clinical Fellows and Locums accredited for Training (LATs) who hold an honorary or substantive contract with a department of dermatology and are sponsored by a member of the Section from their hospital
- Other applications will be considered by the dermatology section council though Fellows will only be admitted under exceptional circumstances if they do not fulfil one of the criteria listed above
