Critical Care Medicine Section

Progression of Critical Care Medicine towards Section status at the Royal Society of Medicine is a very exciting development. The Aims and Objectives of this group are to provide a forum for the discussion of critical care and related subjects, to enhance the relationships between critical care and other specialties and to provide a means by which members of the section receive continuing medical education whilst trainees benefit from courses specifically designed to assist their needs. This is a key time to be involved with this multidisciplinary expanding specialty, as Critical Care is assuming far greater importance in patient management in all areas of secondary care.
