Quality in Healthcare

Aims

The mission of the section is to encourage debate and discussion on topical issues relating to quality in healthcare.

The section organises meetings and debates, hosts an annual Pioneer in Quality Lecture and sponsors a bi-annual Travelling Fellowship.

The topics of past meetings have included:

• patient safety and adverse events
• outcome indicators
• complexity science in healthcare
• quality in primary care
• league tables in health care

It has a broad multi disciplinary membership of doctors, nurses, managers and anyone with an interest in this area and attracts high profile speakers and contributors.
